A Bit About Me
With a slightly different path back into the creative industry, my experience working in NHS hospital wards during the pandemic has been a major influence on my work values and design outcomes. I am passionate about combining these two fields of practise. I enjoy encouraging others to engage in art making for their wellbeing and experiencing the benefits that art can provide in the art workshops that I facilitate. As a student, I am currently exploring how my own practise and how creativity and connectivity is essential for my wellbeing. merging this with facilitation of art workshops, I am hoping will lead me into delving further into art as a therapeutic practice and eventually Art Psychotherapy qualifications. I naturally gravitate to the beaches and cliffs that surround Swansea for tranquil inspiration. I enjoy designing in a studio environment, working interdependently from my peers and being around creative like-minded people. When facilitating workshops, although I can teach at a high level, and communicate my skills for the appropriate age and ability groups, I value the outcome as not as important as the enjoyment. Slowing down the body and building community as well as other benefits that come from taking part in the processes of art making is what makes me happy.
